Outreach is the foundation of almost everything we do at CPAWS. As our mission states, we advocate for the effective, long-term protection of ecologically and culturally significant land, freshwater, and ocean areas in Canada. However, we can only do this with the support and signatures of Manitobans that care.

We’re excited to welcome Chelsea as our new Communications Manager. With her passion she will guide the development of our communications.

Ron Thiessen is the inspiring Executive Director of CPAWS Manitoba. He has been instrumental in establishing 23 parks and protected areas in Manitoba with CPAWS.

Nadia Schimnowsk is thrilled to be part of the conservation team at CPAWS Manitoba as the Conservation Campaign Officer. She is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Manitoba, with a focus on Northern Studies and a minor in Indigenous Studies.

Mira managed communications, provided strategic direction for campaigns and developed the Nature Club and Outdoor Education program.

As the Digital Marketing Coordinator, Katie is in charge of managing the CPAWS Manitoba social media pages, updating the website, crafting content and leading Nature Club activities

The upcoming Manitoba budget needs to show a strong investment in protecting nature, CPAWS and Audubon wrote in a Winnipeg Free Press op-ed.

The joined hands of Indigenous leadership and the governments of Manitoba and Canada to protect nature is conservation done right.
