Spring Birding: Identifying and Spotting Species in Manitoba’s Wetlands
Wetlands have an incredible diversity of birds, second only to the rainforest.
Our second birding webinar again features Paula Grieef with the Delta Marsh Bird Observatory. Back by popular demand after her Birding for Beginners webinar, Paula explored some of the birds that make their home in Manitoba’s wetlands each spring and how to identify them.
Birdwatching is a great way to study nature while safe at home or in the wild. Watching and identifying birds is a fun outdoor activity for all ages.
Delta Marsh Bird Observatory has been operating in Manitoba since 1992. The organization contributes to the community science database by participating in bird banding and bird observations.
Lunch and Learns
Nature has been here for us during the pandemic.
CPAWS Manitoba wants to maintain this positive connection to nature by providing a space for Manitobans to connect online from the safety of our homes and be inspired by nature in our backyards and beyond.
Join CPAWS Manitoba for weekly lunch and learn presentations from experts across the province who will share their knowledge and passion and bring new nature-inspired activities into our lives.
This program is possible thanks to the generous support of The Winnipeg Foundation and the Conservation Trust, a Manitoba Climate and Green Plan Initiative delivered by the Manitoba Habitat Heritage Corporation.
