Selinger speaks on Climate, Polar Bears, and a World Heritage Site

State of the Province Address, December 10, 2009

At the State of the Province Address, Premier Selinger stated he will be working with federal and provincial leaders for Canada to be a positive force at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. “If you to want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together,” said Selinger.

Premier Selinger went on to highlight the provincial government’s commitment to the First Nation led World Heritage Site nomination on the east side of Lake Winnipeg. He also stated his government’s quest for Manitoba to become the “polar bear capitol of the world.”
