Good news for Manitoba’s caribou

As a caribou supporter, we know you will be happy to hear this news! CPAWS is congratulating the Manitoba government for recently committing to a new conservation strategy for threatened woodland caribou in its new Green Plan – Tomorrow Now. The new strategy will be based on the key principle of conserving scale-appropriate intact habitat, which is critical for sustaining the remaining caribou in the province.

Manitoba’s commitment is precedent-setting. We hope it will inspire other jurisdictions to follow suit.

With your support, we were able to work directly with Manitoba’s Conservation Minister, Gord Mackintosh, to lead the province in this bold new direction for caribou conservation.  We hope you’ll take a moment to join us in thanking Minister Mackintosh.

Thank you for helping us to conserve Canada’s amazing wildlife and wilderness.
