CPAWS comments on the future of Manitoba’s Caribbean-blue lake

CPAWS recently sent our comments to the Manitoba government about how to keep Little Limestone Lake – the biggest and best colour-changing lake on earth – healthy and well forever. The most important recommendation we are making is for the government to get moving on its commitment to explore expanding the boundaries of Little Limestone Lake provincial park. The larger, science-based boundaries that CPAWS and our partners Mosakahiken Cree Nation are suggesting is the best way to ensure that our treasured lake remains unspoiled.

Even though the official comment period is over, it is still highly valuable for you to let the Manitoba government know how you feel about expanding the boundaries of the Little Limestone Lake provincial park. Simply send a short email to Premier Selinger and the Conservation Minister Mackintosh – premier@leg.gov.mb.ca, minconws@leg.gov.mb.ca.
