The arctic fox raises large litters, with an average 11 pups, in dens that can have as many as 100 entrances. In contrast, my modest house has 3 doors and I often have to text my teenage daughter to find her at dinnertime. How does the Arctic Fox manage to find its little ones in these dens of many doors?

As the trip’s media coordinator, I have the delight and honour of getting almost daily updates from Know the North. Even 120 characters can paint quite the picture. Know the North guest blog #1 – We’re Headed North
Our trip will take us 1,400 kilometres through Canada’s north. Though we travel as eight, we hope to share our trip as widely as possible.
